On 15Nov05 my hosting provider (Ace-host.net) had a hard drive failure.

"Unfortunately all files were backed up using the RAID configuration and drive mirroring. With that configuration failing, all the backups were lost in the process."

The combination of their hard drive failure and RAID being misconfigured resulted in a TOTAL LOSS for malenski.com. I am very unhappy with ace-host.net and have moved off their servers.

I have started rebuilding my photo gallery but this will take time. All the pictures will still there and even some new ones but the layout and categories will be updated. Most of the visitors I get are looking for pictures from Iraq (OIF I), FOB Camp Kasu, CSC Scania, UXO, 9/11 Ground Zero, Operation WTC, and the 105th MP CO. These pictures are still here and can be found in the Gallery section. I've also removed all the high definition pictures. What does this mean? If you want to print any of my pictures and you want them to be the best quality you can let me know which ones and I can email them to you. Also, if there is anything on the old site that you would like to see let me know.

  In this section you will find pictures from my military adventures. I joined the New York Army back in 1996. 8 years later, that's 2 active duty deployments, 2 state deployments, and 2 years on Stop Loss :-( they finally let me out. I'll keep this brief, but during my time I've had many great experiences. Some good, some bad, and many that I'll never forget. I've had a chance to help at Ground Zero on 9/11, I served as a peacekeeper in Bosnia, and been through hell and back in Iraq. I'll never forget the people I've met and friends I've made. I'll never forget one of the greatest men I've ever known, Michael L. Williams. He gave his life in Iraq, on October 17^th 2003, he made the ultimate sacrifice. Giving all he could for friends, family, and freedom. God Bless you Mikey.
